Our Process

  • Step 1:

    Your information is received from the Alumni Association or other contact

  • Step 2:

    You will be contacted by a member of our team

  • Step 3:

    Interview is scheduled based on your availability

  • Step 4:

    Once interview is complete, the audio is sent to the transcription service

  • Step 5:

    Transcript is received by our team and checked for spelling and grammatical errors

  • Step 6:

    Transcript sent to interviewee for checking (editing, deletions, etc) and image request for website

  • Step 7:

    Transcript reviewed by our team for interesting, relevant, time worthy stories

  • Step 8:

    Article written and sound clip edited

  • Step 9:

    Article, sound clip, and images are uploaded to website. Also, full audio and transcript is deposited into Special Collections in Newman Library

  • Step 10:

    Your VT Story is complete and ready to be viewed and listened to

*These time frames serve as a guideline, if the timeline changes a member of our team will be in contact with you. From start to finish the process takes roughly 4 months.
